Este fue el día más divertido, sin lugar a dudas, durante todo el programa. Desde temprano estuvimos observando bellos paisajes y descansando después de una semana llena de trabajo. Paramos en tres islas durante nuestro recorrido. En la primera no nos bajamos, pero observamos una bella vista panorámica. En la segunda isla disfrutamos de una estancia de una hora y cuarenta y cinco minutos; estuvimos en el agua, comimos dulces típicos panameños e hicimos "snorkeling". Finalmente, en la última isla fue donde verdaderamente gozamos, por lo que estuvimos mucho más tiempo. Al igual que las demás islas, tenía una bella vista que apreciamos al momento de llegar. Después, los encargados del recorrido prepararon dos tipos de barcos inflables: en el primero se podían montar cuatro personas acostadas y en el segundo, cuatro personas sentadas. Disfrutamos de ambas actividades enormemente, tanto los estudiantes como los profesores y las personas de la comunidad Ngäbe-Buglé que estuvieron con nosotros durante todo el programa. Observamos delfines en el camino y, al volver, seguimos analizando los datos de nuestras investigaciones. La forma en que todos disfrutamos y reímos hoy fue simplemente hermosa, y una experiencia que estoy agradecida de haber tenido con las personas que conocí. Espero que en futuros años el programa pueda repetir esta actividad para los participantes, porque considero que es algo de lo que deben ser partícipes. Una experiencia que, en definitiva, nos ayudó a relajarnos y que nos hacía falta luego de tantos días de arduo trabajo.

This was undoubtedly the most fun day during the entire program. From early on, we were observing beautiful landscapes and resting after a week full of work. We stopped at three islands during our journey. At the first one, we didn’t get off the boat, but we enjoyed a beautiful panoramic view. On the second island, we spent an hour and forty-five minutes; we were in the water, ate typical Panamanian sweets, and went snorkeling. Finally, on the last island is where we truly enjoyed ourselves, so we stayed much longer. Like the other islands, it had a beautiful view that we appreciated upon arrival. Afterwards, the tour guides prepared two types of inflatable boats: the first could hold four people lying down and the second, four people sitting. We greatly enjoyed both activities, as did the students, teachers, and the Ngäbe-Buglé community members who were with us throughout the program. We saw dolphins along the way and, upon returning, continued analyzing the data from our research. The way everyone enjoyed and laughed today was simply beautiful, and an experience I am grateful to have had with the people I met. I hope that in future years, the program can repeat this activity for the participants because I believe it is something they should experience. It was an experience that definitely helped us relax and that we needed after so many days of hard work.
